Improv Cincinnati believes in its mission to lift spirits and inspire personal growth. Our goals are to create hilarious performances, transformative classes, dynamic podcasts, and a thriving, positive community.
The pandemic has been a hindrance to the progress that we were making toward our ultimate goal of becoming a comedy destination. We were forced to cancel in-person shows and reduce our class sizes, effectively eliminating 80% of our revenue. We could've sulked in a corner, but we refused to let the misfortune of 2020 shatter our spirits. If improv has taught us anything, it's how to adapt and go with the flow.
We are super excited about the two new podcasts we created for the greater improv community...
Improv Touchstones is an interview podcast where we speak to improvisers who have changed the landscape of the artform. Guests have included some of the best improv performers in the world, including Colin Mochrie, Brad Sherwood, and Greg Proops. Our performance podcast is Yeti Or Not, which is improvised live by a cast of veteran improvisers and aurally-enhanced by post production. Both of these podcasts are available for free on all podcast platforms.
Despite the veritable shutdown of our theatre, we continued offering performances remotely over Facebook and Twitch. These complimentary shows have connected us with legendary improv performers from all over America. Our house teams have been given the opportunity to continue their growth with monthly online performances. Once the pandemic ends, we will be returning with full force to live performances.

Want practice opportunities? On the last Sunday of every month (3-5pm), we'll have a patreon exclusive improv jam on Oozebear, an improv app for audio-based performances. Our goal is for these jams to be hosted by a different IC team every month.

Apprentice Tier

Do you want straightforward notes and helpful sidecoaching? The monthly improv drop-in sessions will be coached by different company members, who will each give a different perspective on how you can improve. Two hours jam-packed with scenes and tons of reps -- exclusively free to our subscribers. Always the second Sunday of the month 3-5pm either at Liberty Exhibition Hall (or if the teacher prefers) over Zoom.
You want exclusive merch? We got it: sticker, poster, tote, and coffee cup. Our loyal apprentices who keep their membership going will receive a new item delivered quarterly.

You don't care if the blast shield is down, because you are a full fledged improv jedi who can wield IC's touchstones like they were all powerful cosmic jewels in the infinity gauntlet. Sorry, wrong franchise. Look, you may be a master, but that doesn't mean your training is over.
Do you want a dozen different workshops with masters of their craft? Yes, please! Every month, our Jedi patreons will receive a free supercharge workshop from a company member. Brush up your object work with Tracy's mime class, "Master Your Emotional Intelligence" with Kelly Morton, or "Become an Improv Ninja" with Joe DiSalvo. And the workshops may even be taught by improv masters from around the world. This will always be the third Sunday of the month 3-5pm, and will be mostly over Zoom until June.
Have you ever wanted to be a fly on the wall when improv legends are intereviewed? Exclusive to this tier is the opportunity to listen live as Brenden and Tone interview improv legends on the "Improv Touchstones" podcast. And you won't be entirely on the sidelines because you can enter your questions in chat.
