Why improvisation training for business?

Imagine it. Your entire team is on their feet. They’re actively engaged. They’re smiling and laughing together. They are not performing the show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” - although many feared they would. Instead they are directly experiencing how fundamental improv principles apply directly to the work place. They are developing skills in communication, collaboration, public speaking, and more - and they’re having fun at the same time.

What outcomes can my team expect?

  • Increased feelings of camaraderie, connection and trust among teammates

  • Greater ability to take risks

  • More confidence speaking up in meetings

  • Improved teamwork across departments

  • Better body language awareness

  • Practical tools to use in the workplace

  • Plenty of laughter and fond new memories!

What will the experience be like?

We offer everything from small group team building sessions to keynote presentations for hundreds of participants. Whatever you choose, know that the experience will be engaging, interactive, and fun. Comfort zones will be stretched in a safe, supported way, and no one is singled out or asked to be funny. Depending on the service level, sessions will include a large group debrief session, takeaway sheets and personal commitments, PowerPoint Karaoke, free show tickets or class prizes, a private comedy show featuring your leaders, and more!

When are these workshops used?

  • Kicking off a multi-day training

  • Leadership team trainings

  • Rotational program trainings

  • Award banquets

  • Team retreat or “get-out-of-the-office” days

Ample evidence points to the enormous health and professional benefits of laughter, lightheartedness, games, and humor...too much sobriety can be bad for your career and worse for your general well-being. In the Conceptual Age, in work and in life, we all need to play.
— Daniel Pink, #1 NYT Bestselling Business Author

Can we watch a live comedy show too?

Absolutely. For an extra boost, consider combining your workshop with a private improv show. It's a fun and laughter-filled way to cap off the learning experience and allows participants to observe veteran improvisers demonstrating workshop skills. Plus, we can include members of your team (like your leaders!) in the show.
